Isidoro Duarte

1918
The company’s origins date back to 1918, founded by Isidoro Duarte.
Five years later, in 1923, Isidoro Duarte established a partnership with a new partner, starting to purchase buses for the public service, which was heavily deficient throughout the Póvoa da Galega and Milharado regions.
From a family business, in 1954 the company was registered with a notary public, passing management from parents to children.
1923
From the marriage between Isidoro Duarte (founder) and Ana Venâncio Duarte, Maria Antónia Duarte and João Duarte were born, the latter taking over the company’s management, together with Quirino Vicente Pereira, Maria Antónia Duarte’s husband.
Quirino Vicente Pereira would end up leaving the company and founding the Rodarte Travel Agency, based on Rua da Palma in Lisbon, leaving the management of the company in the hands of João Duarte.

In the turbulent years after April 25, João Duarte handed over management of the company to his son Isidoro Duarte, escaping the nationalization processes, despite the occupation registered between November 1975 and February 1976.
Eng Isidoro Duarte creates the foundations of a solid company, operating in the areas of public service, specialized regular rental for factories and educational establishments, occasional and express rental, with a strong predominance in tourism for international operators.
Currently, the company has a fleet of modern buses of various types, specialized personnel, covering more than 4 million km per year.
And because the future is at the door, updating the fleet, specialized labor and continuous training are factors of success for a company with over 100 years of history, which has known how to resist the setbacks of time and establish itself as a pioneer in the act of good service.
